This is a guide to help you defeat all of the bosses in Ocarina of Time.
Deku Tree - GohmaOnce you enter the boss room in the Deku Tree Look up at the ceiling. Once the battle has begun Z-Target Ghoma's eye with the sling shot, once it turns red release the deku seed. Once she is stunned and is on the ground hit her with your sword. She also releases larve from the ceiling so be sure to kill these because they are quite annoying. |
Dodongo's Cavern - King DodongoOnce you are face to face with this monster start off by placing your self on the slanted part of the ground close to the lava. Not close enough to get burnt though.. Dodongo will roll around the room while he is doing this stay close to the lava to dodge his attack. After Dodongo has crashed into the wall Z target the king and run up to him. Once he opens his mouth to breath out fire throw a bomb. He will suck up the bomb and then be paralyzed. Once he is on the ground start hacking and slashing. |
Jabu Jabu's Belly - BarinadeStart off by throwing the boomerang at Barinade to stun her. Then switch your Z-targeting to the jellyfishes. Kill them one by one with your boomerang. Once you have killed them all, Barinade will get out of the floor and start spinning around with the jellyfishes. Z-target the boss again and throw the boomerang at the boss. When the boss is stunned, kill all of the jellyfish quickly. If you can't kill them all and you notice that Barinade has started to wake up, stun the boss again and kill the rest of the jellyfish. Now all you have to do is stun her and attack her body. She will attack you with electrical waves so be on the move. |
Forest Temple - Phantom GanonPhantom Ganon is the first boss you will face as Adult Link. When you come to fight him he will be running in and out of the paintings. There will be two of them, one real and one fake. You can tell which one is fake and which is real by starring at the paints and seeing which one he turns around in. If you are aiming your loaded bow at the fake on quickly turn around and shoot Phantom Ganon as he comes out of the picture behind you. After 3 of these he will start to fly around the room throwing balls of lightening at you. Hit them with your sword to make them bounce back. |
Fire Temple - VolvagiaWhen this Fire Breathing Dragon sticks hits head out of the ground, quickly run over and smash the head with your newly aquired Megaton Hammer. The dragon will be damaged will faint for a while giving you the chance to smash him with your sword. When the dragon has taken some damage, it will fly over the platform, spouting fire so you will have to run about a bit avoiding the flames. He will then dive back down so wait until his head reappeares and do the same process with the hammer and sword. Finally Volvagia will fly up to the top of the cave and make the boulders fall down onto the platform so avoid the while they come crashing down. Continue hitting him with your Hammer and Sword. If you cannot manage to do this then while he is sending boulders down at you feel free to go to the edge of the platform and hang onto the side. The boulders can no longer affect you. |
Water Temple - MorphaTo defeat this creature you must Z-Target his core and the use your longshot to pull Morpha towards you. Once you have managed this slash with your sword as much as you can before he finds his way back to the water. Watch out for his attacks though as they do serious damage. Fairies are a good idea. |
Shadow Temple - Bongo BongoTo kill this guy Z-Target each of his hands and shoot an arrow at each of them, then use the lens of truth and look for his eye, once you've found it, shoot it with a arrow then while he is stunned slash him with your sword. You have to do this process very quickly before he starts to wake up and slaps you or throws you into the poisonous waters. Keep doing this until he's dead. |
Spirit Temple - TwinrovaTo defeat this dynamic duo, you will have to use the Mirror sheild. Stand on the middle platform and wait for the witches to blast their elemental attacks at you Hold Z and R to go into the crouching position. Once one of the witches have started their attack hold your sheild infront of your face. Once the beam is being reflected off your sheild aim it at the other witch to damage her. Continue this until the two which become one. Once the witches have morphed into one this new demon will use either Ice or Fire. This time instead of relfecting it back you have to store the element in your sheild. Wait until you have collected 3 of the same elements either fire or ice work. If you have collected a fire element so your sheild is glowing red you should not try to collect or reflect a ice attack merely dodge it and wait until another fire attack comes up. Do the same for ice. Once you have reflected the attack back at Twinrova she will drop down onto the platform below her. Run up and slash her, do this 3 times and victory is yours. |
Ganon's Tower - GanondorfWithout the aid of the Z-Targeting, when Ganondorf powers up his energy balls, use your sword to deflect it back at him continue this process until he is hit by the energy ball. Once he is stunned in the air use a light arrow and shoot his body run towards him (hover boots make this faster) and slash him with your sword. Continue this untill he uses his second attack. Now he will create a massive bacl ball of energy once you see his is doing this start charging yor sword. Once he has fired release your attack and all of the energy balls will be sent flying back to him you don't have to relfect it again as it is an automatic hit. |
Ganon's Tower - GanonTo finally finish your quest in Hyrule you must fight one last battle. Here's how to do it: If you so choose you may shoot light arrows at Ganons face, one stunned roll in between his legs and slash at his tail. You can do the same with light arrows and merely go under him and slash his tail. If you want to use light arrows and running low on magic, lure Ganon over to the large pillars and have him break them. Continue this for what seems like forever and you will have your victory. |
