The Wii has Launched!
Posted November 19Today the revolution in video gameing has begun. Nintendo has released its next generation console the Nintendo Wii.
All over North America fans lined up for hours mabye even days to get their hands on this revolution.
At my city this morning I drove by future shop just to check out the line up and as I suspected there were over 100 people in line. Some had camped the night
in the fridged cold. I then went to toys r us were I had my Wii console on preorder and stood in line. They had taken 74 preorders and recieved 99 or so consoles.
Many people were turned away very depressed. After a few minutes I was told to go to the preorder line up. I headed on over and got in a new formed line.
I then went a got my Wii and Twilight Princess. I got in line gave the guy my preorder ticket and he then asked if I wanted anything else. I thought for a few
seconds and decided hey what ever.. I'll get an extra wiimote and nunchuck plus Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz. I went to do that and some old grandma comes in
line infront of me... It could have gone over very fast... But she had to pay in cash... 400$ in cash!!!...
There I was with the game in my hands crying becuase it was taking so long. Finally she left and I went up and purchased my goods. I then had to wait for 1 hour! for my parents to come pick me up... They clame to
have forgotten the time as they went to superstore. I was standing at the exit waiting and waiting with the Wii in my hands Twilight Princess staring me in the
eyes... I was concentrating so hard on it I got a nose bleed... Or mabye it was the dry air but w/e.
Finally they showed up and I went home. I played wii sports bowling just to try it out. My mom gave it a try and ended up smacking my dog in the face :(... the controller
went flying into the air and hit the ground with a large force... My heart broke I felt as if I had died... I then moved everything into my room so it could stay
out of harms way. I then played Twilight Princess for the rest of the day.
So that was my day. I hope to have a full review of the game up sometime in January. I sadly am already stuck in the forest temple... At least the monkeys can keep me busy.
